Changing one shape to another.

I have created a bunch of flowcharts in visio 2002. I have used the shapes from the stencils provided.
I now want to convert on shape into another shape. For example I want to change the shape I used for 'IF' statements from a plane rectangular box to a diamond shape.

1). Is there away to transform from one shape taken from the stencil to another shape existing in the stencil?
YES.

2). If so, can this be done globally. (i.e. can I apply this change to every occurance of that particular shape in the document, so as to transform it into the new shape)?
YES.

I really appreciate your help with this.
Thanks for your time.

How to do this:

  1. We have drawing with rectangular

  2. Open local stencil (File>Shapes>Show document stencil). After it, you need select your rectangular master-shape and open it to edit.

  3. Then you need select master-shape and in menu select Window>Show ShapeSheet. And find Geometry 1 section.

  4. Then edit this cells as shown below.

  5. And you see how you rectangular changing to diamond in edit window.

  6. After that you need exit from edit window and accept to change all instances.

  7. Now all you rectangular changing to diamonds and have same text.

  8. Then you need rectangular again, you may put on page from standard stencil. In local stencil it will appear with another name.
